Our August Ultreya was held on the 18th at St. John Lutheran Church in Houghton Lake. We had 56 people in attendance and our speaker was Betty Parsons. Her talk was titled "Connection" and was based on Galatians 2:20. Support groups, helping others, and volunteering all help us to make connections with God. Daily devotions, Bible study, Via de Cristo, and reunion groups are other ways to connect with God.
Our questions were:
Share a time when you felt a real connection with God
Share a time when you could have shared God's connection with someone and failed to do so
Who do you need to share your connection to God with?
Due to the Men's weekend in September, our next Ultreya will be September 29th at Midland Reformed Church. We are still in need of a 4th day speaker and would love if a community member would do so. Please contact us if you are willing.
