TRI-CITIES ULTREYA UPDATE
There were 30 people in attendance at the November Ultreya, held 11/21 at Tuscola Community Church in Vassar. Kristin Boetefuer was the 4th day speaker and she spoke about anger and disappointment. She shared how troubles like illness, divorce, and death can interfere with praying and communicating with God.
Bible references were
Joshua 1:9 "...do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you."
Luke 6:28 "...bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."
Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
The group question was "have you ever struggled with your prayer life?" Many shared their struggles and how things like Christian music, prayers from others, and sending cards of encouragement, helped. Many thanks to Pastor Greg Shepherd and Laura and their reunion groups for the delicious dinner and fellowship before the meeting.
Please join us at December's Ultreya, held 12/19 at Trinity Lutheran Church (3701 Jefferson Ave, Midland). The 4th day speaker will be Megan Marino, who will share The Joys of Christmas Carols with Marijean Fitzgerald on the piano.
